How Does it Work?
Solar water heaters are easy to install, low maintenance, and last for 30+ years. There are two main components: a solar storage tank and solar hot water panels. The solar hot water tank is usually installed next to the back-up water heater, while the solar thermal panels can be mounted on the roof or ground. A heat exchange fluid (water or propylene glycol) is then circulated up to the solar collectors and back to the storage tank.
